Webster's defines a doula as: a women experiences in childbirth who provides advice, information, emotional support, and physical comfort to a mother; before, during, and just after childbirth.

Doulas reduce the labor time, reduce the need for medication, and reduce the need for Cesarean. Plus, there is the added bonus of a women there to support you and your spouse.
